This project included a block subdivision, demolition, alterations to an existing dwelling, followed by a fence restoration, pool and outdoor alfresco construction.
Originally this was a 1500sqm block with subdivision approval. Originally, the owners were going to retain the existing house at the front of the property on Caringbah Road to sell and build on the rear lot. As a result, we modified the original cottage to allow for the new right of way to run down the side of the property and into the rear lot. We then ran the services for the rear lot and completed the driveway for the subdivision to take place. Once the subdivision was completed, the owners decided to sell the vacant rear block and build on the front. We knocked down the original cottage and prepared for the build.
At the conclusion of the home build, we restored the existing sandstone fence and replaced the twisted wrought iron with more contemporary white metal slats. We built a grand covered outdoor entertaining area with BBQ and arranged the landscaping and paving with one of our local business partners Urban Jungle Landscapes. The striking roof line over the alfresco creates a dramatic look in the back yard.
