Project Description

Burraneer Bay Road Burraneer

The Burraneer Bay Road renovation was part of a non-attached dual occupancy project designed by Avenue Studios Architects. Originally, this property began as a two storey weatherboard clad home on a 700 square metre corner block. It had a tired, faded exterior, a large pool and an otherwise unused yard. The decision was made by the owners to build a new home in the rear of the property and sell the existing residence. The original dwelling was renovated and modified, meanwhile a second new dwelling was built at the rear of the block which was then subdivided.

The old garage/shed at the rear of the property was knocked down to make way for the new home. To compensate for this, a spare downstairs bedroom/study area in the existing home was converted into a single car garage. Cleverly, the oversized backyard pool was modified into a more compact plunge pool to allow room for the development in the back yard. This renovation project included a fresh, contemporary paint job to enhance buyer appeal. A few touch ups inside, some new paving, pool fencing and a driveway and this property was ready for sale.

In consultation with your Real Estate Agent, updating some key aspects of your home before sale may add value and buyer interest, by increasing street appeal and ensuring your home meets the needs of the buyers in the market.
