PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This iconic home was designed by Avenue Studios Architects. Originally, this block of land was the backyard of the property beside. Being a corner block with dual street access, the owners were able to build a new dwelling in their backyard and Torrens Title subdivide the land. The construction featured the new Colorbond Enseam Cladding. Smooth, sleek, matte black ridges wrap the home across the roof and around the guest wing walls. Textured recycled bricks on the main facade are softened by white acrylic paint. Cedar batten detailing is the hero of the home and clads the external garage door. The innovative perspex garage system glows like a lantern when the lights are on inside.

This contemporary design is a masterful example of compact living. On a small footprint, the house contains three generous bedrooms, double garage, two living spaces master with ensuite and walk-in robe, and an in-ground pool. Inside, beautiful tile choices, unique pieces of reclaimed timber, cedar battening, internal glass panels, and black and brass fixtures bring the home to life and create both visual and textural interest.

The kitchen is the centrepiece of this home. The warm timber colours in the cabinetry tie in with the theme of the house. The benchtop has a textured finish and the subway splashback has a subtle hint of blue. Above the island hang two concrete pendant lights, followed by a ceiling void battened in cedar.

Outside, aged timber fence panels were sourced to match the existing fence. Beautiful native plant selections complete this property and the ivory travertine paved outdoor area provides ample entertaining space beside the pool.
